Leo Messi: Ambassador for a world free of Hepatitis C

Prime Pharma announced its partnership with Leo Messi Foundation and “Tour n’ CURE” to lead a world effort in eradicating Hepatitis C

Cairo- Eco : The legendary football star Leo Messi, has attended today an event in El Cairo,Egypt, as representative of his own Foundation 
“Leo Messi Foundation”, to announce that his Foundation have joined "Tour'N Cure" ...

a global campaign aimed at helping the world eradicate Hepatitis C. It is estimated one hundred and sixty (160) million people infected with hepatitis C around the world. Messi will imminently assume his role as global ambassador for the noble cause.


This private event has had the presence of 600 guests, who represented the different companies that also support this social project to eradicate this disease around the world. The highlight of the event was when the video film of this Project was shown for the first time, with the participation of Leo Messi, with the aim of communicating that Hepatitis-C has since become curable yet long journeys had to be undertaken and large sums had to be spent to attain that cure.

Making this world a better place, the common pledge that Messi and the campaigners have in mind, with an achievable goal of freeing the whole world of Hepatitis C. Leo Messi and Leo Messi Foundation are going to be helping the world treat the disease, skipping long waiting lists and prohibiting the huge costs that patients must go through.

Other than being the world’s finest player and entertaining millions of people worldwide, Leo Messi was always a humanitarian at heart, he established the Leo Messi Foundation to propagate his philanthropic work.

Leo Messi stated “As another step towards a better world and following the mission of my foundation, I decided to fight against this disease and support the cause that calls for a world free of Hepatitis C”
As Messi’s relation with Tour n’ Cure started to support the cause of a world free of hepatitis C, Leo Messi Foundation decided to sponsor the treatment of 3.000 unprivileged patients from all over the world as a start, and to initiate a global movement with the world leaders and influencers to stop the waiting lists of Hepatitis C as no patient should wait for a cure when a cure is available.
A global campaign under the name Tour n’ Cure started in Egypt capitalizing on the tried and tested experience of Egyptian doctors in dealing with the infamous disease, in an ambitious project to eradicate the once prevalent disease from Egypt and the whole world. They managed to treat over 830K patients in one year and were recognized as trendsetters for the whole world. All of which will start from Egypt, a country rich in history and determined on curing Hepatitis C once and for all.
