television program broadcasted fabricated footage of rotten tomatoes and the
involvement of Heinz. This footage was shared across social media with false
claims that the footage is from within Heinz’s factory to damage viewers’ trust
in their favorite brand.
The same television program broadcasted parts of our factory as well as scenes
from other factories that don’t belong to us ,while mixing scenes and zooming
on bad tomatoes to make it appear as if it is the Heinz factory.
The video was deliberately edited to not show all the real stages of the tomato
purification and sorting process in an attempt to falsify the facts, which
represents intentional and deliberate harm to the company’s reputation that is
contrary to the facts.
Kraft Heinz reserves all its legal rights and will take all necessary actions
against all parties that have engaged in the deliberate defamation of its brand
and its products as part of this campaign directed at the company.
Kraft Heinz would like to ensure all its customers that it adheres to strict
